This position is 2nd Shift.

Summary

This position requires an individual who can work in a busy environment, possesses solid math skills, is detailed and team oriented. The Materials Supervisor must also enforce safety rules and written procedures and have an ability to coach and train people on a continuous basis. The employee also incorporates the use of all technologies and equipment provided to manage the workload and his/her team efficiently and effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees all internal warehouse functions as it pertains to Warehouse activity.
    • Picking
    • Receiving
    • Deliveries and Returns
  • Verifies all materials activity, including the shipping and receiving of raw ingredients and sales orders.
  • Assures all inventory is maintained within agreed upon guidelines and is real time verifiable within the system.
  • Oversees Warehouse personnel, all practices, and procedures.
  • Development: responsible for the establishment, implementation and follow through of a development program for one’s staff. Increasing positional knowledge, performance efficiencies and future company growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises approx. 10 staff members within the Warehouse division, as well as (2) admin staff.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Experience/Education
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school
  • Three years related warehouse/materials supervisor experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
