Description
Responsible for overseeing the flow of materials within our organization for the manufacturing process for assigned products. Manages the process for shipping finished goods to customers, including logistical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor daily progress towards meeting/exceeding Annual Operating Plan (AOP) metrics, including daily shipment targets, and adjust actions as required.
• Oversees daily inventory activities to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory agency policies and procedures.
• Assigns and schedules all work assignments to direct the processes of shipping, receiving, warehousing, production support and similar functions for the flow of materials in and out of the plant.
• Monitors scheduled assignments and reassigns tasks as necessary.
• Conducts team training programs and maintains Daily Hazard Assessment (DHA) boards, striving for an injury free workplace.
• Manages forklift daily checklists, dock audits, and other documentation per retention policies.
• Supervises and directs the work of department leaders, material handlers & shipping personnel.
• Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate the flow of materials or products.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for the completion of job assignments and schedules staff accordingly.
• Plans and schedules daily truckload shipments.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed for training and vacation coverage.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
• Supervises non-supervisory employee(s).
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Reviews/approves employee timecards and assigns points per our attendance policy.
• Working with Human Resources on employee issues.
• Working with EHS Manager for any safety related items.

• Uses noncomplex and complex machines and equipment.
