Job summary

Pj-Trailers in Mount Orab, Ohio, seeks a Materials Supervisor to lead the plant scheduler, cycle count team, and forklift drivers. You will optimize inventory control, coordinate with production on material usage, shortages, and scrap, and ensure OTIF performance for parts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1–3 years supervisory experience.
• Lean Daily Management background preferred.
• Root cause Analysis background preferred.
• APICS trained preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP/D365 is expected or learnable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the materials team including plant scheduler, cycle count, and forklift drivers.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
• Coordinate with production on material control, consumption, repair and scrap.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Production to identify and escalate material shortages.
• Monitor and manage shipping, order entry, and OTIF of Vertical integration parts.
• Oversee Min/Max and Kan Ban levels in the Vertical Integration Warehouse.
• Optimize raw material storage within the production facility.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ERP procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties to maintain efficient operations.

Supervise the materials team to include the plant scheduler, cycle count team, and forklift drivers.· Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment· Be responsible for working with production department regarding material control, consumption, repair, and scrap· Work with Procurement and Production to identify and escalate any material shortages on the production floor.· Monitor and Manage the shipping, order entry, and OTIF of Vertical integration parts.· Monitor and Manage the Min/Max and Kan Ban levels in the Vertical Integration Warehouse· Optimize raw material storage within the production facility.· Monitor and drive compliance with all company policies, ERP procedures, and safety standards.· Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentA minimum of one (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience· Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills· Problem-solving and decision-making skills· Lean Daily Management background highly preferred· Root cause Analysis background· APICS trained preferred· The successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in D365 as part of their role. Prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in D365 is essentialPhysical Demands & Work Environment· Must be capable of standing for entire shift and sitting for extended periods of time.· Able to lift-up to 50 lbs.; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping.· Will be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.· Subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace
