Job summary

Howmet Aerospace, Fullerton location, seeks a Materials Specialist III for the 1st shift to manage tooling and materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves locating and stocking tools, maintaining inventory records, and collaborating with shop floor teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years’ related experience or training, with a high school diploma or GED. Visa sponsorship is not offered; on-site duties support aerospace fastening systems and related components.

Qualifications

• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Locate, pull, and place tool orders based on manufacturing requirements.
• Stock internal and external tooling and record location into system.
• Counts materials, components, stock, and label per manufacturing requirements.
• Works with Manufacturing Engineers, Supervisors, Leads and shop floor personnel.
• Ensure inventory records on tools are maintained.
• Take corrective action to resolve discrepancies on new tools.
• Purge all part inventory and consult engineer for disposition of non-conforming parts.
• Participate in continuous improvement to improve tool ordering process.
• Keep work area safe, neat and clean; follow safety precautions.
• Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations.
