Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Materials & Process Engineer to join our team to support fully reusable launch vehicles. You will lead strategy, testing, characterization, and qualification efforts around Stoke's material systems, collaborating with design, analysis, and manufacturing throughout the product lifecycle.

You must be ready to move fast, stay focused, and learn on the fly. You will serve as the M&P engineer across engines, structures, coatings, and adhesives, drive material selection,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in materials engineering.
• Experience with material selection, characterization, testing and failure analysis.
• Background across multiple material systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the responsible M&P engineer for Stoke's engines, structures, mechanisms, coatings, and adhesives.
• Trade, evaluate, and select materials considering performance, cost and sustainability.
• Design and execute material characterization programs: mechanical testing, environmental exposure, fatigue, and failure analysis.
