Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado is seeking a Materials and Processes Engineer to join the FBM program. You will work in a lab and manufacturing environment, selecting materials, evaluating processes, and supporting supplier qualifications while collaborating with design and production teams.

The role emphasizes innovative problem solving, hands-on testing, and rapid learning in a high‑stakes defense setting; a TS clearance is preferred or required, and US citizenship is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials and process engineering disciplines.
• Materials/Processes experience or field of study.
• Formal coursework or training in Materials/Processes for development, improvement, design, application and/or production.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Select Materials and Processes on new designs for defense applications.
• Perform Materials and Processes technical engineering assignments.
• Troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement.
• Prepare technical and progress reports, specifications, and supplier evaluations.
