Job summary

EmployBridge seeks a hands-on Materials & Process Engineer to advance development and manufacturing of advanced fiber-reinforced composites for aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. You will bridge material chemistry, manufacturing processes, and final product performance across critical programs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person as defined under EAR/ITAR regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Composite Materials, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of composite materials manufacturing experience (5+ years for Senior level).
• Strong understanding of process-structure-property relationships.
• Experience with material characterization and mechanical testing.
• Failure analysis and root cause investigation experience.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct material characterization (TGA, DMA, DSC, rheology, mechanical testing).
• Design and execute test plans and process development activities.
• Perform root cause and failure analysis investigations.
• Develop and optimize composite manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate, qualify, and source new materials and suppliers.
• Create SOPs, test methods, and laboratory procedures.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Support scale-up from development through production.
