Job summary

ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client, in Rochester, New Hampshire, seeks a Materials & Process Development Team Lead to guide engineers in research and technology initiatives for fiber reinforced composites. The role centers on advancing manufacturing capabilities and supporting customer-funded projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in composite engineering, a Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/CATIA/NX), and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in composite engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Civil Engineering; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for polymer matrix composites.
• Experience with aerospace materials and structures, especially injection and infusion methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers responsible for planning, organizing, and executing internal and customer-funded research and technology projects focused on fiber reinforced composites.
• Oversee development and improvement of composite manufacturing processes, including injection, infusion, and CMC processing techniques.
• Support the introduction of new composite products, processes, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Manage procurement of tooling and equipment necessary for advanced composite manufacturing.
• Coordinate material characterization activities through fabrication and testing of composite elements and sub-components.

As a Materials & Process Development Team Lead, you will be part of the Research and Technology department supporting engineering teams.
