Job summary

MSI Express in Batavia, IL, is seeking a Materials Manager to lead materials planning, inventory control, and warehouse coordination to support customer service and operational efficiency.

You will partner with Operations, Procurement, Commercialization, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability and accurate item data, while guiding the Planning team to improve service levels and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials management and inventory control.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning to support production schedules.
• Oversee new item setup, sourcing, item master maintenance, and BOM accuracy.
• Maintain safety stock levels, MOQs, lead times, and ordering profiles.
• Coordinate inventory counts, warehouse movements, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on changes and launches.
