Job summary

Amphenol Military High Speed seeks a Materials Planner to coordinate planning, purchasing, and manufacturing to optimize loading and scheduling at its Endicott, NY facility.

You will schedule and adjust production, oversee front sheets and engineering changes, and ensure on-time delivery while interfacing with multiple departments. Strong data/office software skills and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4–6 years related experience in Materials Department or equivalent education/work
• Working knowledge of Data 3 preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Adept at both oral and written communications
• Confidentiality
• Being a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Occasional domestic and international travel required between operations and to customers (10 - 15%)
• Some travel between Sidney and Endicott sites will be required
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
• Continuously required to move about the facility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of planning, purchasing, and manufacturing to maximize the effective loading and scheduling of the business unit
• Schedules, prioritizes, and follows contracts throughout the area and coordinates with supervision, process engineering, and quality to ensure that schedules are attained
• Schedules, adjusts and maintains production schedule date for customer orders
• Responsible for the integrity of front sheets, prints, and engineering changes on the floor
• Converts PLOs to work orders to meet requirements
• Processes rescheduling and cancellations on customer orders and work orders
• Reviews schedules daily to assure top level revenue, delinquency and on-time delivery targets are met
• Interfaces with appropriate department functions to achieve goals and objectives
• Reviews excess inventory reports
• Provides status on critical customer deliveries
