Job summary

Amphenol is seeking a Buyer/Planner to support purchasing and production planning in our Endicott, NY operations. The role collaborates with buyers, planners, production, and inventory teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.

The position emphasizes purchase order processing, schedule maintenance, data accuracy, and cross-functional coordination, rather than supplier strategy. Sponsorship is NOT available for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or materials role.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to follow standard processes and work instructions.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, release, and maintain purchase orders for direct materials and components.
• Track supplier acknowledgments, delivery dates, and open order status.
• Follow up with suppliers on late or incorrect deliveries and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies and receiving issues.
• Support inventory replenishment to prevent shortages or excess.
