Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking a Material Planner to work within a material planning team. Responsibilities include monitoring material movement, determining requirements, and coordinating with purchasing and engineering departments. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office and strong organizational skills are essential. The position requires wearing steel-toe shoes and adhering to safety protocols. Future transition to 10-hour workdays is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work within a material planning team at the San Antonio manufacturing facility.
• Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
• Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering.
• Develops specifications for new contract orders.
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.

Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday

The role will be transitioning to 10 hour days in the future. 4/10's Monday -Thursday

Description

• The plant is making some changes to the schedules effective this week..
• They have made the determination to mandatory 10 hour days this week.
• It is required that consultants wear steel toed shoe all day long.
• No jewelry as this is a plant environment.
• Work within a material planning team at the client San Antonio manufacturing facility where we build Class 6-8 commericial trucks and EVs.
• Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
• Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
• Develops specifications for new contract orders.
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems
