Job summary

Talentify supports a Truck and Engine Manufacturing client in San Antonio, TX by sourcing a skilled Materials Planner. You will join a production facility building Class 6-8 trucks and EVs, ensuring timely material flow and accurate BOMs.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, clear communication, and top-tier organizational ability. On-site with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in shop order planning or purchasing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement through production.
• Determine material requirements from schedules and engineering input.
• Coordinate material movement with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
• Develop specifications for new contract orders and data input for BOMs.
• Maintain accuracy of bills of materials and part/commodity numbers in SCM systems.

Our client, a Truck and Engine Manufacturing company, is looking for a Materials Planner for their San Antonio, TX location.

Responsibilities:

• Work within a material planning team at the Client San Antonio manufacturing facility where we build Class 6-8 commercial trucks and EVs.
• Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
• Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
• Develops specifications for new contract orders.
• Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems

Requirements:

• Proficient with MS Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Bachelor’s degree and no experience OR
• At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
