Job summary

Cooler Master USA, based in Houston, seeks a hands-on bilingual Material Planner to support material planning and inventory coordination for our Houston manufacturing operations. This role collaborates with production, procurement, warehouse, engineering, and supply chain teams in the U.S.

and Asia to communicate material requirements, resolve shortages, and support on‑time production. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Operations).
• 3–5 years of material planning/production planning or inventory control in manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP systems knowledge; SAP preferred.
• Ability to read BOMs, routings, and engineering changes.
• Excel and reporting tools proficiency; Power BI preferred.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin for Asia coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and inventory targets.
• Monitor MRP requirements, lead times, purchase orders, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure material availability and staging.
• Identify shortages and coordinate recovery with global teams.
• Track WIP and inventory to balance production needs with working capital.
• Maintain accurate ERP data (material, BOM, inventory, transactions).
• Support New Product Introductions and engineering changes for material readiness.
• Communicate material status and priorities with US and Asia teams.
• Prepare KPI reports on material availability and supplier performance.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Bilingual Material Planner to support material planning and inventory coordination for our Houston manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring materials and components are available to meet production schedules while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

The position will work closely with production, procurement, warehouse, engineering, and supply chain teams in the U.S. and Asia to communicate material requirements, resolve shortages, and support on‑time production. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to frequent coordination with our Asia‑based teams.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Material Planning: Develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts, customer demand, and inventory targets.
• MRP Management: Review MRP requirements and monitor material demand, lead times, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
• Material Synchronization: Partner with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure materials and components are available and staged ahead of production.
• Shortage Management: Identify material shortages and coordinate recovery plans with procurement, suppliers, production, and Asia‑based teams.
• WIP & Inventory Management: Track Work‑in‑Progress and inventory levels to balance production needs with working‑capital targets.
• Data Integrity & ERP Management: Maintain accurate material, BOM, inventory, and transaction data within SAP/ERP systems.
• NPI Coordination: Support New Product Introductions and engineering changes by coordinating material readiness with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
• Cross‑Functional Coordination: Communicate material status, priorities, shortages, and delivery schedules with teams in the U.S. and Asia.
• KPI Reporting: Prepare reports on material availability, shortage status, inventory levels, supplier delivery, and inventory turns.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, inventory control, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Systems Acumen: Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret multi‑level Bills of Materials, manufacturing routings, and engineering changes.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; Power BI experience is preferred.
• Planning Knowledge: Solid understanding of MRP, inventory control, demand forecasting, safety stock, lead times, and material flow.
• Communication: Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin, including speaking, reading, and writing, is required for regular collaboration with teams in Asia.
• Adaptability: Ability to manage changing priorities and resolve material issues in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on data accuracy and process documentation.
