Job summary

Acuity is seeking a Materials Planner to analyze supply plans and current demand to determine material requirements, ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing operations.

You will manage inventory, generate requisitions through Oracle, maintain MRP and Kanban parameters, and collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and engineering to optimize service levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of material planning or procurement experience.
  • Experience with MRP and Kanban planning.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to balance material availability with production needs.
  • Experience using Oracle to generate material requisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Generate material requisitions through Oracle.
  • Make pull-in and push-out decisions based on plan changes.
  • Maintain MRP and Kanban items to ensure service levels.
  • Create and monitor internal orders.
  • Maintain planning categories and sourcing rules.
  • Monitor inventory on hold or quarantine.
  • Support engineering changes and new product introductions.
  • Participate in inventory reduction and optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Engineering.

Job description

The Materials Planner is responsible for analyzing supply plans and actual demand to determine material requirements and ensure the appropriate materials are available to support manufacturing operations.

This role will manage inventory levels, generate material requisitions through Oracle, maintain MRP and Kanban planning parameters, and make planning adjustments based on changes in supply and demand. The Materials Planner will work closely with cross-functional teams to support production continuity, optimize inventory, and maintain required service levels

Key Responsibilitie
  • s:Analyze supply plans and determine material requirements based on demand, usage, and current inventory level
  • s.Generate and manage material requisitions through Oracle
  • e.Make pull-in and push-out decisions based on supply plan requirements and changing production need
  • s.Maintain and monitor MRP and Kanban items to ensure required service level
  • s.Create and monitor ISO/Internal Order
  • s.Maintain planning categories, including MRP, KB, and D SY, as well as sourcing rules and planning parameter
  • s.Monitor material placed on hold or quarantine and manage ISO inventor
  • y.Support engineering changes, including Phase-In/Phase-Out, new product introductions, product transfers, and EC EO
  • s.Participate in inventory reduction and optimization initiative
  • s.Monitor installed rack capacity and support efficient material storag
  • e.Maintain inventory levels within healthy operating ranges while ensuring material availability for productio
  • n.Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support uninterrupted operation
