Job description

Seeking an experienced Material Planner who is focused on making sure the right materials are available at the right time, at the lowest cost, while keeping customers satisfied.

  • Track inventory, maintain min/max levels, and reduce excess or expired stock
  • Schedule production and optimize batch sizes
  • Place and manage purchase orders and supplier coordination
  • Monitor shipments and container logistics
  • Report performance (KPIs like on‑time delivery, inventory levels, costs) and explain any issues
  • Collaborate daily with teams like Sales, Customer Service, Shipping, Quality, and global planning groups
  • Support efficiency efforts (lean/5S) and ensure compliance with company standards
What success looks like
  • Strong on‑time delivery performance
  • Lower inventory levels and waste
  • Controlled material and shipping costs
  • Smooth coordination across departments and suppliers
Basic Requirements
  • High school diploma (degree preferred)
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (preferred)
  • Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and work independently
  • Willingness to travel
Physical/working conditions
  • Mix of desk work and some physical activity (lifting up to 20 lbs, standing, etc.)
  • Exposure to industrial environments (chemicals, fumes)
  • Some international travel may be required.
Bottom line

This is a logistics-heavy role that combines planning, coordination, and problem-solving to keep production running efficiently and customers satisfied.
