Job summary

Cosma International is seeking a Material Scheduler to ensure timely availability of supplied material and maintenance items in alignment with production and supply schedules. You will manage forecasting, releases, and supplier coordination using QAD ERP, while upholding CMS policies and Lean manufacturing practices.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education or Associate degree in business administration or certified 2-year training program for the material scheduling profession.
  • Four years verifiable work experience in the same profession is acceptable in lieu of formal education.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Visio).
  • Knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Control and ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and expedite inbound material delivery to meet production requirements.
  • Monitor forecasts, stock on hand, customer demand, production schedule and inventory transactions.
  • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and CMS policies.
  • Use ERP (QAD) as the primary means of creating, monitoring and communicating schedules, releases and forecasts.
  • Forecast raw material to suppliers and release materials to ensure continuous flow.
  • Maintain lean inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen) and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Communicate schedules and issues to management, customers and suppliers.
