Job summary

Grammer-Tupelo in Tupelo, MS is seeking a Materials Manager (MP&L Manager) to oversee material planning and control for our automotive components facility. You will act as a liaison with customers and ensure timely, efficient delivery of parts.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Supply Chain and at least five years MP&L experience, with SAP/MRP proficiency, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• Five years MP&L experience.
• Knowledge of automotive processes (EDI, PPAP, etc.).
• Experience with SAP and MRP scheduling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Represent Grammer-Tupelo as the primary customer service contact.
• Develop production plans and forecasts with Production Manager.
• Coordinate BOM and engineering changes with Engineering Manager.
• Support customer satisfaction initiatives with Quality Manager.
• Verify inventory control with Plant Controller.
• Supervise MP&L personnel for warehousing and planning.
• Direct plant purchasing/vendor releasing functions.
• Monitor inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
• Set departmental practices and approve expenses.
• Report Grammer Metrics weekly/monthly and conduct annual appraisals.
