Beckett Air, Incorporated in Kentucky is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Materials Manager to own material availability, supplier performance, and ERP data integrity across our manufacturing operations.

You will lead buying and materials planning for key commodities—including steel, aluminum, stainless, polypropylene, and nylon—ensuring production lines run smoothly without shortages or excess inventory through cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of buying, commodity management, or materials planning in manufacturing.
• Experience with metal fabrication and molded materials.
• Strong ERP/MRP proficiency.
• Ability to manage supplier performance and optimize inventory turns.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & commodity management: source, negotiate, and purchase metals and molded materials.
• Supply chain execution: convert forecasts and orders into buy/replenishment plans; manage POs.
• ERP data ownership: maintain item master data, planning parameters, safety stock, min/max.
• Supplier development: qualify suppliers and drive on-time delivery and cost improvements.
• Cross-functional collaboration: align inventory with production schedules and new products.
• Team leadership: mentor buyers/planners or manage execution as needed.
