Job summary

Pacific Packaging Machinery, a brand of ProMach, seeks a Materials Manager to lead procurement, planning, and inventory control for Corona, CA operations. You will coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, and Field Service to ensure smooth project lifecycles from design release to shipment and aftermarket support.

The role emphasizes developing planning processes for custom equipment, improving inventory accuracy, and managing suppliers to meet commitments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of materials management, supply chain, production planning, purchasing, or inventory control experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in custom machinery, packaging machinery, or engineered-to-order manufacturing preferred.
• Lean manufacturing training or KPI management experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials management for Pacific, including procurement, planning, inventory control, receiving, stockroom organization, and shipping.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, and Field Service to support the full project lifecycle.
• Develop planning processes for custom filling and capping equipment, including shop order management and schedule adherence.
• Improve inventory accuracy, cycle count discipline, and stockroom organization to reduce shortages and delays.
• Qualify, develop, and manage suppliers for quality, delivery, cost, and technical capability.
• Establish KPIs for supplier delivery, inventory accuracy, shortages, and shipping performance.
