Job summary

AFL is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee material planning, inventory control, and warehouse processes for Premise and Black Jacket operations. You will lead a team of material handlers, implement FIFO, and drive lean practices to ensure uninterrupted production.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, 3+ years in materials management and supervision, with strong English communication and ERP experience (Oracle or similar). On-site role in Duncan, SC with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing environments
• 3+ years of material management experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Fluent English written and spoken
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word)
• Experience with ERP software (Oracle or similar) and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead material flow and inventory strategies to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory
• Supervise material handlers for Premise and Black Jacket operations
• Develop staffing plans and assign work to support receiving, storage, replenishment, and production priorities
• Drive continuous improvement in FIFO, lean manufacturing, 5S, and cycle counting
• Establish KPI reporting and dashboards for inventory performance and material availability
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to resolve material shortages
