Job summary

Lightera in Carrollton, GA is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee daily warehouse and materials activities, aligning supply with production demand and leading the Warehouse Supervisor, Buyers, and Inventory Control Supervisor.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, 5–7 years in manufacturing with emphasis on warehouse/materials management, strong communication, and proven cost control, SAP 6.0 ERP experience, and APICS/ISM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Five to seven years manufacturing experience with emphasis on warehouse/materials management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Microsoft Office and Production Tracking software experience.
• Good time management, prioritization, motivation, and organization.
• Strong background in managing labor, materials and cost.
• APICS/ISM certification preferred.
• SAP 6.0 ERP experience with Materials Management and Sales/Distribution modules.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of Warehouse Supervisor, Buyers, and Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Plan materials for product based on order demand.
• Use shorts production to improve materials utilization.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of materials, tooling and supplies.
• Conduct staff and employee meetings.
• Administer company policy and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and methods.
• Staffing and planning for current and future needs.
