Job summary

Ricochet Gear seeks a hands-on Materials Manager to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials for protective gear and sewn products. This role owns inventory planning, PO execution, ERP transactions, and receiving while partnering with Production, Operations, and Finance.

You will manage in-stock levels, lead cycle counts, supplier performance, and reporting to support production schedules and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in inventory control and purchasing or procurement.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-stock inventory levels for raw materials, components, packaging, and operating supplies.
• Plan material requirements and monitor safety stock, reorder points, and lead times.
• Create, issue, track, and manage purchase orders through receipt and reconciliation.
• Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Serve as a key user and champion of the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, receiving, and supplier master data.
• Manage daily receiving activities and supervise one direct report.
• Oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory adjustments.
• Resolve supplier shipping discrepancies, shortages, and routine quality issues.
• Develop inventory and purchasing reports to support operational decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement in inventory control and ERP utilization.
