Job summary

Arrow International Inc. is seeking a seasoned Materials Manager to oversee finished goods inventory across warehouses and support the SAP transition.

You will drive inventory accuracy, reporting, and service levels while partnering with manufacturing, purchasing, planning, warehouse, and operations teams to optimize turns and reduce stockouts. You will lead data-driven improvements, develop actionable reports, and train staff on inventory processes.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in engineering, business, supply chain, systems, programming, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory control, materials planning, purchasing, or scheduling.
  • Experience at a manager, director, or senior leadership level with proven success reducing inventory, improving service, and increasing throughput.
  • Strong ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AS/400, Query, PRMS, or other integrated manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of finished goods inventory, warehouse inventory, forecasting, MPS, MRP, DRP, and inventory turns.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Experience building reports, extracting data, analyzing inventory trends, and improving planning processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable digging into numbers, identifying gaps, improving systems, and helping teams use data to make better decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor on-hand inventory versus target inventory by product class, product group, and warehouse location.
  • Develop and publish reporting around inventory, service levels, warehouse balances, product availability, and inventory targets.
  • Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, planning, warehouse, and operations teams to improve inventory turns and avoid out-of-stock conditions.
  • Support SAP transition efforts by improving finished goods reporting, inventory controls, planning processes, and system data accuracy.
  • Oversee transfers between warehouses to maintain proper inventory balance and support customer service levels.
  • Set and maintain target inventory levels, forecasts, and planning parameters by item.
  • Support planning systems and processes, including forecasting, MPS, MRP, and DRP.
  • Audit inventory data and procedures to ensure finished goods inventory is accurate in the system.
  • Build and automate reports that provide better visibility to decision makers across manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Train managers and employees on inventory procedures, reporting tools, system changes, and proper data entry.
  • Travel to warehouse or distribution locations as needed to support physical inventories, training, audits, and process improvements.

Arrow International is looking for a Materials Manager to support finished goods inventory, service levels, and planning processes across the business. This person will play a key role in improving companywide inventory control as Arrow continues transitioning to SAP.

This role will be responsible for helping reduce inventory while improving service, throughput, reporting, and overall inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing or distribution background and enjoys using systems, data, and process improvement to solve business problems.
