Job summary

Genesis ASC Partners is seeking a Materials Manager/Certified Surgical Technologist for our Lansing, MI ambulatory surgery centers. This full-time, on-site role manages surgical inventory, coordinates purchasing, receiving, stocking, and tracking materials to ensure smooth daily procedures and sterile field preparation.

You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and staff to anticipate needs, reduce waste, and adhere to infection control and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold CST certification and maintain sterile technique.

Responsibilities

Role Description The Materials Manager/Certified Surgical Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Lansing, MI. This role is responsible for managing surgical inventory and supplies, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking materials to ensure appropriate levels for daily procedures. The position also includes preparing operating rooms, setting up sterile fields, and assisting surgeons during procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Daily responsibilities involve collaborating with clinical staff to anticipate supply needs, reconciling usage with inventory records, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency. The role requires close adherence to infection control policies, documentation of materials usage, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong Materials Management and Inventory Management skills, with experience maintaining accurate stock levels and supply records.
• Proficiency in Inventory Control and Production Planning to support scheduling of procedures and timely availability of instruments and supplies.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent) with experience in operating room procedures and sterile technique.
• Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements in an ambulatory surgery environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using inventory management or ERP software and basic office applications; prior ASC or hospital experience preferred.
