Job summary

Adams Thermal Systems, Inc. is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material planning, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management, driving world-class operating performance and cost reductions.

This role focuses on just-in-time material flow, supplier development, and program oversight within the automotive supply base. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (technical preferred or BBA with relevant experience) and extensive OEM automotive manufacturing experience, with strong ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; technical degree preferred or BBA with technical work experience.
• Experience in OEM automotive manufacturing environment.
• Extensive experience in material planning and ERP software.
• Program management skills and experience.
• Experience with supplier continuous improvement development and implementation programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning activities to ensure Production of just-in-time material flow.
• Lead and coordinate Supply Chain activities to achieve world-class performance (On Time Delivery, Supplier Quality, Inventory Turns).
• Serve as Supplier Development and Relationship Manager, implement vendor qualification processes and monitor performance metrics.
• May be assigned special projects by the President as workload permits.

Scope

The Materials Manager will lead company material planning, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management activities. This position is key to achieving world class operating performance. Continually improves quality, delivery and total cost of products and services to assure the continued success of ATS in the market place.

Specific Duties

• Lead material planning activities to assure Production of just in time material flow.
• Lead and coordinate Supply Chain activities to sustainable world class performance (On Time Delivery, Supplier Quality, and Inventory Turns).
• Serve as Supplier Development and Relationship Manager, work to implement vendor qualification process and monitoring of new programs and performance metrics.
• May be assigned special projects by the President as work load permits.

Required Skills / Experience(s) / Education / Certification

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree. Technical degree preferred or BBA with technical work experience within the automotive industry.
• Demonstrated experience within the OEM automotive manufacturing environment desired.
• Extensive experience in material planning / ERP software.
• Program management skills and experience.
• Experience with supplier continuous improvement development and implementation programs.
