Job summary

Stryker in Redmond, WA is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, receiving and shipping to ensure on-time customer order fulfillment.

You will drive KPIs, develop supply plans using ERP, and guide cross-functional teams while leading lean initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, manufacturing experience, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills within a dynamic medical device environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations management, engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, production planning, procurement, or related operations.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience managing inventory, production planning, and material flow in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Financial knowledge or training related to budgeting or operational metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material planning, production planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, receiving, and shipping to support on-time customer order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and drive KPIs including inventory health, inventory turns, days of inventory, production attainment, delivery performance, service levels, and back-order reduction.
  • Develop and communicate supply plans through ERP systems, reports, and cross-functional updates with production, quality, engineering, and other operational teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives that improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize excess and obsolete inventory risks.
  • Direct and develop department personnel by managing staffing requirements, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and maintaining departmental policies and procedures.

Join Stryker’s supply chain team in a role that is central to maintaining the flow of materials, inventory accuracy, and operational performance across manufacturing and distribution activities. The Materials Manager provides leadership across planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, receiving, and shipping to support efficient operations and customer order fulfillment.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience managing inventory, production planning, and material flow processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Financial knowledge or training related to budgeting, cost management, or operational performance metrics.

Preferred:

  • Experience using SAP ERP software.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
United States of America Pay Ranges:

$118,000 - $196,600 USD Annual
