Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Materials Manager in Gretna, LA to provide strategic leadership for a key manufacturing function, ensuring supply continuity and cost efficiency.

You will lead production planning, procurement, and warehouse operations, partnering with management to optimize inventory and service levels, while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of leadership experience; SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Management team to plan, forecast and replenish products for customers.
• Balance inventory, service and cost objectives, drive collaborative supply chain improvements and support Customer Service.
• Responsible for all replenishment activities and working with internal and external departments to meet customer demand.
• Direct and administer: purchasing, production scheduling and control, inventory and warehouse stock control, warehousing sales order entry, customer service, traffic and shipping.
• Manage Production Planning and Scheduling to ensure the smoothest production curve, while maintaining a high customer service level.

Company Profile: A global leader in food and flavor is looking to add a Materials Manager to their team. This person will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for a function within a high performance plant/facility. This person will have overall accountability for the performance of the function and the impact on the larger operating unit as well as lead team managers and/or staff to achieve exceptional business results through the development of people and continuous improvement of manufacturing and supply chain processes.

The Materials Manager Will Be Responsible for the Following:

• Collaborate with the Management team to plan, forecast and replenish products for customers
