Job summary

Timonium Surgery Center in Maryland is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee inventory control, order medical supplies, receive and stock items, and support the surgical team in line with state practice standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating receiving, processing, distributing, storing supplies, maintaining inventory, and advising management on procurement and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Materials Management experience in an OR setting or as a scrub tech/central supply preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Assist with contract management.
• General understanding of medical supply equipment.

Responsibilities

Timonium Surgery Center is hiring a Materials Manager

The Materials Manageris responsible for the process, which includes inventory control: ordering all medical supplies, maintaining an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies, receiving and stocking of all medical supplies to their assigned area. Provides support to the surgical team and provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinates receiving, processing, distributing, and storing of supplies
• Ensures healthy flow throughout supply chain
• Monitor and manage repairs of equipment and facility as requested
• Maintains and coordinates the inventory system
• Performs other duties as requested by management
• Financial analysis as required to support department goals
• Effectively coordinates with the clinical and business managers, administrative director, physicians and ancillary departments on all issues relating to patient care and specialty requirements and coordinates procurement of specialty equipment as indicated
• Plans, coordinates and manages all functions associated with Materials Management Supply

Required Skills:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of Materials Management experience in an OR setting and/or experience as a scrub tech, Central Supply tech is preferred
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to assist with contract management
• General understanding of medical supply equipment

Pay Range- $31.00 to $39.11

Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
