Job summary

Xecutive Recruitment Inc. on behalf of a Battle Creek area, multi-billion-dollar tier-one Automotive manufacturer, seeks a Materials Manager to shape North American Materials strategy and lead teams.

You will oversee inventory, warehousing, procurement, and logistics; coordinate production planning; and drive VA/VE initiatives and supplier improvement. This role requires strong leadership and budget responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Manages Materials function with VA/VE support and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Provides post-launch support for operations and programs.

Multi-billion-dollar tier one Automotive manufacturer located in the Battle Creek area is looking for a Materials Manager.

JOB DUTIES

• Develops and provides operational level strategic direction for North American Product Business Unit Materials activity.
• Researches and recommends new products, processes, systems, policies, and procedures to pursue in the future.
• Leads, manages and monitor inventory levels, on-time shipment of finished goods, warehousing/shipping of goods, procurement/receipt/storage of raw materials, and/or transportation/distribution methods.
• Coordinates production/planning activities of staff to ensure that departmental needs are met in a timely manner.
• Manages Materials function as assigned; ensures support of Operations and/or programs in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), suppler improvement, and post-launch support.

• Ability to lead and develop others through support, training, etc. Must be able to manage staff toward departmental goals.
