Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Full Time Supervisor, Materials Management in Miami, FL to oversee the materials handling team across departments. You will coordinate staff, ensure timely replenishment, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold university policies and internal controls.

Responsibilities include scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and continuous improvement of stock levels, par levels, and storage organization in the OR and supply areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare supply chain.
• Strong performance management and goal setting capabilities.
• Experience Training & Development and motivating staff.
• Proven team leadership and collaborative skills.
• Proficiency with office software and relevant applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate activities of materials handling staff.
• Approve staff selection and evaluate performance.
• Assign schedules and ensure coverage.
• Review inventory operations and maintain records.
• Maintain warehouse and inventory yard organization.
• Ensure material stock levels and timely dispatch.
• Train staff on internal controls and university policies.
