Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Supervisor of Material Management in New Jersey to lead a 12-person team supporting manufacturing operations. You will ensure safety, quality, productivity, and accurate material movement, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with cGMP requirements.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, SOP maintenance, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration to meet production and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 8+ years in manufacturing/production.
• GMP standards and quality systems knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops a team of material technicians supporting manufacturing operations.
• Assesses staffing needs to support 24/7 production.
• Supports quality deviations and safety investigations.
• Manages training and ensures 100% training compliance in FDA environment.
• Reviews production documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Develops and updates Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and appropriate stock levels.
• Ensures cleaning and housekeeping of production areas comply.
• Drives site objectives and cross-functional collaboration.
• Supports site strategy and process improvements.
• Collaborates across OpEx, projects, and talent development.
