Get to Know Your Team:

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

1. The overall responsibility of the Materials Management Supervisor is to supervise the daily operations and activities of the supply chain warehouse and/or the procedural area ordering, as well as assigned staff.
2. The responsibility will include receiving and delivering goods, and ensuring the transportation of materials and supplies are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
3. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
4. Additionally, this role includes the use of analytic tools to accurately capture spending and utilization data (Lawson, Epic, Excel) in support of inventory control and management.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
2. Valid driver’s license
3. Three (3) years of related experience of which one (1) year must have been in a supervisory capacity

Preferred Job Requirements:

1. MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
2. Experience with the use of heavy equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dock equipment, etc.
3. Ability to drive department-owned vehicles, including but not limited to a box truck
4. ERP system, such as Lawson, experience preferred
5. Warehouse organization and operational experience preferred
6. Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics
7. Understanding of how an ERP system increments and decrements inventory and the role this plays in an efficient healthcare supply chain setting
8. Knowledge of Epic decremented inventory
9. Understanding of operating room products and their uses
10. Training and hiring of new staff
11. Knowledge of PO pricing and GL interaction
12. Ability to analyze and interpret data and take action
