MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR

The American Housing Corporation is solving America's housing crisis through all-out production. We are a vertically integrated homebuilder that buys land, manufactures homes, installs them, and sells them directly to customers. The American Dream is built, not inherited. We're hiring the best engineers, designers, and builders to solve the hardest problem in America.

As Materials Management Supervisor, you will lead the shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling operations that keep AHC's production system running safely, accurately, and on schedule. You will own the daily flow of materials from receipt through storage, kitting, line-side delivery, and outbound shipment, while building the systems, standards, and team required to support production at scale.
This is a hands-on floor leadership role. You will translate production plans and work orders into disciplined materials execution, maintain inventory integrity, develop and coach frontline teams, and coordinate across Planning, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Transportation to prevent material disruptions.

  • Develop and maintain operating metrics for inventory accuracy, kit completeness, receiving and shipping performance, material availability, safety, and team productivity

  • Evaluate and implement appropriate transportation, logistics, inventory, and kitting strategies as production requirements evolve

  • Ensure materials transactions and work order activity are recorded accurately and promptly in company systems

  • Resolve issues related to damaged, missing, late, nonconforming, or incorrectly distributed materials

  • Approve timecards, manage team schedules, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to direct reports

  • Build standard operating procedures, standard work, and management systems that improve safety, accuracy, efficiency, and accountability

  • Conduct regular safety walkthroughs, address identified hazards, support area audits, and ensure compliance with applicable safety and transportation requirements

  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas through continuous improvement and thoughtful workspace design

  • Foster a high-accountability operating culture in which ideas are evaluated rigorously and implemented when they improve safety, quality, cost, or delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to lead frontline teams, establish clear operating standards, and hold teams accountable for performance

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing production priorities

  • Working knowledge of transportation requirements under 49 CFR and IATA

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP, warehouse management, or inventory management systems is preferred
