Position Summary

Responsible for managing and organising the day-to-day Materials Management needs and operations for both the Kentfield and San Francisco facilities for Kentfield Hospital. This position will require travel to and from Kentfield to San Francisco on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will research purchasing options, monitor inventory, order supplies, receive and disburse shipments and deliveries, and will direct and recommend purchases within designated purchasing group organisations.

Qualifications

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

This position supports Kentfield Hospital facilities in Kentfield and San Francisco and requires travel between locations as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for managing Materials Management Lead and Technicians in both Kentfield locations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Interpersonal skills, and negotiating skills, ability to communicate
• Ability to supervise inventory control systems and oversee distribution planning
• Ability to be liaison with senior management to identify gaps/needs in supply and find a strategic solution to bridge gaps.
• Excellent negotiations and communication skills.
• strong organizational, prioritizing and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical skills for evaluating and choosing suppliers offering best combination of services, delivery, quality and price.
• Decision-making skills for making timely and informed decisions on selecting products.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Minimum three (3) years of previous hospital materials management experience required, with increasing managerial level responsibility in materials or related field.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field/ degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
