Job summary

Wurth Industry US is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure cost-effective operations. You will manage inventory levels, lead times, and procurement settings while aligning with production needs across multiple facilities.

Based at Brooklyn Park, MN or other listed locations, you will lead a large team, optimize stock levels, reduce stockouts, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and operational metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in materials management, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/inventory management systems and data analytics.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices; APICS/CPSM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee storage, handling, and distribution of materials to align with production needs and costs.
• Maintain procurement settings (lead times, reorder points) to ensure timely availability.
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels to control storage costs.
• Lead and develop a large team, including hiring, performance reviews, and pay decisions.
• Drive stockout reduction and inventory turnover improvements across the network.
• Coordinate with forecast and production planning to ensure material readiness.
• Ensure materials are properly kitted and available per system requirements.
• Provide training and cross-functional collaboration to optimize workflows.
