Beth Israel Lahey Health in the United States seeks an experienced MMIS Administrator to oversee day-to-day operation of the Materials Management System. You will implement and upgrade Workday MMIS, maintain item master data, and provide reports to management to drive informed decisions.

Job description

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Materials Management System. Represent Supply Chain functions in the implementation, upgrade and testing of Inventory and Purchasing systems, including implementation of new Releases of the Workday Materials Management System. Manage the item master file data and procedures to ensure that required information is accurately and securely maintained. Provide responsive information in the form of reports and statistical presentations to management and others with authorized access. Implement new programs and systems using product and usage data to support all business and functional areas. Provide day-to-day guidance and direction for all resources assigned to Supply Chain in regards to information systems and inventory control functions.

Job Description: Primary Responsibilities:

  • 1. Work with the Director of Supply Chain Technology and the Sr. MMIS Administrator to implement the Supply Chain software systems which best meet the needs of these functions and the best strategic interest of Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH). Keep the team members informed, motivated and enthusiastic during technical delays and informational delays in other business areas. Work with subcommittees assigned to specific project tasks.
  • 2. Maintain data integrity of item master file, including price updates, item adds, part # changes and interface data (for example, for Epic and Pyxis). Provide cross reference data for conversions.
  • 3. Receive and resolve Help Desk Remedy tickets for Workday Supply Chain issues.
  • 4. Monitor processes of systems including, but not limited to: Workday, GHX, Pyxis and EPIC. Provide resolution to issues as needed.
  • 5. Needs to have understanding of reports and data extraction in Workday to provide guidance to Report Writers on fields and report structure, use the data for executing projects that enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • 6. Respond to Senior Management, Supply Chain, Finance and Clinical and Hospital manager requests for information by designing/creating processes and reports, producing some on request and some on automatic schedule.
  • 7. Participate in the budget process by researching supply records to identify misappropriated dollars and assisting managers in requisition adjustments to charges.
  • 8. Submit requests to the Director of Supply Chain Technology for updates and hardware modifications to the Workday Materials Management System.
  • 9. Participate in BILH system expansion and integration projects. Participate as a member of the Supply Chain team on a variety of MMIS and non-MMIS programs and issues.
  • 10. Trains new staff at BILH in the use of the Workday Materials Management Information System. Communicates changes and updates to all system users.
  • 11. Any other duties as assigned by Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education experience
  • Experience: 7 years’ experience with materials management information systems. Direct Healthcare inventory control experience. Must be able to act independently, take a proactive approach to problem solving and issue resolution and work well with all levels of the organization
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Supervisory/management skills for managing resources at diverse levels across functional areas (project specific). Ability to manage and balance conflicting priorities. Demonstrated negotiation skills with internal resources, external vendors and executive levels.

Pay Range: $72,800.00 USD - $97,979.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
