Job summary

Abbott in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Materials Management Associate I to support basic materials handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving under supervision. The role includes operating site equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring accurate records in SAP/EWM, with emphasis on GMP compliance and safety.

Shift: Mon-Fri 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; onsite at 445 North 5th St, Phoenix. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and forklift certification eligibility.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and 1+ years of relevant experience.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.
Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
Operate forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers, and site-specific equipment.
Place goods in designated storage areas and restock lab supplies as needed.
Fulfill internal material requests and deliver materials to appropriate locations.
Support basic inventory transactions and data entry in SAP/EWM.
Assist with packaging and preparing outbound shipments, including compliance with regulations.
Document receipt, storage, and shipment records accurately.
Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines, SOPs, and safety requirements.
Escalate inventory discrepancies and issues per protocols.
Engage in cross-training and continuous skill development.
