Job summary

Fenner Dunlop is hiring a detail-oriented Support Services Technician to join the Diagnostics and Support Services team in Bluefield, VA. You will prepare splice materials, manage inventory, coordinate shipments, and set up production orders while assisting with hazardous material shipments and RFID tagging.

You will work with Production, SCM, Warehouse/Shipping, and other internal teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards, contributing to efficient day-to-day

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and adapt to changing business and production needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to promptly report production, quality, material, or safety concerns.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn applicable company systems.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bulk splice materials and splice kits for fabric and steel cord belts.
• Prepare inductive loops and RFID tags for internal and external customers.
• Review work orders and customer requirements to ensure materials and components are available and prepared accurately.
• Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Set up jobs and dates in the planning system and coordinate with internal departments to address scheduling and material availability.
• Promote safety and ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards.
