Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Materials Intern to support the Materials team with projects to improve material flow, transportation efficiency, and overall supply chain operations. You will analyze material and delivery requirements, identify opportunities for freight consolidation and cost reduction, and support development of efficient material flow throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Student working towards a bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business or related field.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Analysis of inbound material, service part & finished vehicle delivery requirements for a managed material delivery structure.
Identify conveyance utilization inefficiencies and opportunities for freight consolidation and cost reduction; identify solutions and implement them.
Develop and document processes and procedures concerned with North American material flow.
Improve efficiency with the use of ergonomics.
Develop and manage non-compliance reporting.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
