Job summary

JLG Industries, a global Oshkosh company, is seeking a Materials Intern to support the Materials team. You will work on projects to improve material flow, transportation efficiency, and overall supply chain operations, gaining hands-on experience in analyzing material and delivery requirements.

You will help identify opportunities for freight consolidation and cost reduction, develop efficient material flow processes for North America, and support documentation and reporting while balancing

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Eng, or related field
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inbound material, service parts and finished vehicle delivery to create a managed material delivery structure.
• Identify conveyance inefficiencies and freight consolidation opportunities to reduce costs and improve material flow; implement solutions.
• Develop and document North American material flow processes and procedures.
• Improve efficiency through ergonomic practices.
• Develop and manage non-compliance reporting.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
