Siemens is seeking qualified candidates for the Material & Logistics Summer–Fall 2027 Co‑op based in Wendell, NC. You will gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems while using Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other business systems to drive decisions in a collaborative, impact-driven environment.

You’ll work on-site full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer and Fall 2027. Candidates must be enrolled in the NC State University co-op program and reside within 50 miles of Wendell, NC.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a related field.
  • On-site availability for Summer and Fall 2027 (40 hours/week).
  • Must be enrolled in the North Carolina State University co‑op program and cannot graduate before the close of the co‑op.
  • Resident within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Structured experiential learning program for ongoing enrollment in a degree program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with material requirement planning, demand forecasting, and readiness activities.
  • Support inbound and outbound logistics processes and identify operational improvements.
  • Create reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other systems to support decision-making.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Support carrier performance reviews, master data validation, and new product introduction activities.

As an intern with the Electrification and Automation (EA) division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow - all within a collaborative, impact‑driven environment.

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Material & Logistics Summer – Fall 2027 Co-op beginning in May 2027. This position will be based at our Wendell, North Carolina office location.
You’ll make an impact by:
  • Assisting with material requirement planning, demand forecasting, and material readiness activities.
  • Supporting inbound and outbound logistics processes while identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Creating reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, SAP, and other business systems to support decision‑making.
  • Monitoring operational KPIs and supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to work on‑site full‑time (40 hours per week) during the Summer and Fall 2027 semesters.
  • Candidates must be enrolled with the North Carolina State University co‑op program and cannot graduate prior to the close of the co‑op.
  • Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • This co‑op is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 3D design, 3D printing, or automation technologies.
  • Experience with programming tools such as LabVIEW.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and experience handling tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Curiosity for technical problems, self‑sufficiency, and patience to investigate technical issues and identify solutions.
