Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Materials Manager to ensure material availability for production, align demand with capacity, and optimize inventory. The role leads a unified Materials organization including planning, scheduling, and purchasing to meet customer commitments and business goals.

Responsibilities center on driving supply chain performance, implementing SAP processes, and transforming the organization through process improvements while maintaining accuracy and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years in materials management, supply chain, planning, purchasing, or manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing planning, purchasing, scheduling, or materials teams.
• Experience leading organizational transformation or process improvement initiatives.
• Proven SAP experience (MM/PP/MRP) and ERP deployment or stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Production Planning/Scheduling and Purchasing personnel.
• Utilize SAP MM and PP to manage material availability and support production requirements.
• Oversee daily MRP review processes and resolve planning and supply chain issues.
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing to meet demand and on-time delivery.
• Manage inventory levels, accuracy, and turns; maintain planning parameters and master data integrity.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve delivery performance and reduce lead times.
• Drive continuous improvement in inventory optimization and planning accuracy.
• Champion SAP process adoption and organizational changes for long-term goals.
• Analyze capacity constraints and demand changes to develop proactive action plans.
• Monitor KPIs like schedule attainment, inventory performance, supplier delivery, and customer service.
• Negotiate supplier pricing.
