Lambda's mission is to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and give everyone the power of superintelligence. One person, one GPU.

If you'd like to build the world's best AI cloud, join us.

Lambda, Inc seeks a Materials Lead in San Jose, CA to be responsible for improving inventory accuracy across systems and physical counts by applying quantitative analysis and process engineering methods.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with the Logistics department to improve productivity and ensure timely availability of high-value materials ($10M+ scale).
  • Devise methods for improving utilization of materials and oversee daily reconciliations and variance resolution, ensuring production problems or other issues are resolved.
  • Lead root cause analysis of discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). CAPA is a structured method for identifying, correcting, and preventing quality issues. CAPA helps teams get to the root cause of problems.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and compliance documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements (SOX, ISO, FSVP, OSHA).
  • Manage post-deployment workflows (return, reuse, decommissioning) with timely system updates and reconciliation.
  • Oversee entry, validation, and lifecycle management of fixed assets in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. ERP is a type of software that integrates key business processes, such as finance, manufacturing, and supply chain management, into a cohesive system. ERP helps streamline operations, improve efficiency, and provide better visibility into business performance.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of movement, utilization and depreciation of fixed assets through systems-based controls.
  • Provide proactive reporting and insights to guide procurement planning and capacity decisions.
  • Develop key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards (inventory accuracy, spares utilization) for leadership visibility and develop manufacturing methods and drive best practices in storage design, labeling, and inter-facility transfer processes.
  • Leverage Python, SQL, and automation tools to reduce manual processes and improve visibility.
  • Present analysis and cross-functional reports and other communication to management and internal stakeholders.

Telecommuting allowed for this position.

15-20 % domestic travel fully reimbursed by employer.

You

  3. Identifying and formulating KPIs and clarifying management objectives
  4. Validating new operational processes using statistical regression models; partnering cross-functionally to align procurement, production, and demand planning
  5. Formulating and mapping department processes using the ARIS enterprise modeling approach to promote operational efficiency and preparing management reports recommending solutions.
