Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician to turn field samples into reliable numbers using Proctor curves, sieve analyses, Atterberg limits, moisture content, and compressive strength tests.

You will operate in an AASHTO R18 quality system with calibrated equipment and complete competency records for every result. Training is provided, with emphasis on precision and documentation throughout the lab workflow in Phoenix.

Qualifications

• Careful hands and clean documentation habits.
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, training provided.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
