Job summary

MAHLE in Muskegon, MI seeks a Lab Technician to support testing and analysis of HVAC and engine cooling components. You will perform metallographic preparation, chemical, physical and mechanical testing, and document results in collaboration with engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have hands-on lab experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a full-time, on-site role in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a general lab technician.
• Proficiency with PC Based softwares such as MS Windows/Office.
• Effective interpersonal skills. Must work and communicate well with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day lab activities under the Laboratory Scope and Capabilities.
• Manage test bench operations and metallographic prep including sample cleaning, sectioning, mounting, polishing and imaging.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment such as hardness testers, tensile and fatigue testers, ovens, and polishing equipment.
• Assist with inventories and ordering lab supplies.
• Observe data consistency, report irregularities to engineers, keep work area clean.
