NOVA Engineering is hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Materials Lab Technician in our Columbia, SC location. The successful candidate will perform laboratory tests on concrete and aggregate materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Job Duties:

1. Perform tests on concrete and construction materials to determine physical and engineering properties.
2. Prepare concrete samples for testing according to ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project-specific standards.
3. Accurately record test results and maintain detailed documentation.
4. Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
5. Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy and reliability.
6. Compile test data into reports and communicate findings to project managers and engineers.
7. Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Certifications:

• 2+ years experience testing concrete preferred; training available for qualified candidates.
