Purpose

Perform material testing for quality control of additively manufactured hardware and development of new alloys for production. Work in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary materials lab focused on ensuring the performance of Divergent's material systems.

The Role

  • Perform metallographic preparation including cutting, polishing, and etching of additive materials.
  • Execute powder sampling, particle size distribution analysis, and chemical analysis to confirm powder quality.
  • Operate and maintain calibrations of optical microscopes and 3D optical profilometers.
  • Manage inventory of laboratory consumables and chemicals.
  • Document test results for quality control demonstration.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • High school diploma
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, startup manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to carry up to 30lbs
  • Willingness to safely work with chemicals including acids.
  • Has experience handling acids and bases

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an aerospace quality control or laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of metallography and microscopy
  • Experience with acid digestion

Pay Range$23—$32 USD
