Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC in Greenville, SC is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead the lab's production, QA/QC testing, and personnel management on a range of construction projects.

The successful candidate will perform ASTM/ACI/AASHTO compliant tests on soils, concrete, and asphalt, maintain records, calibrate equipment, and ensure certifications are upheld while overseeing multiple projects with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory.
• ACI Strength Testing and ACI Aggregate Testing certifications required.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong project management abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job description

NOVA Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to join our team in Greenville, SC The Lab Manager will manage the lab's production and personnel and provide quality assurance/quality control lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low—to high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects.

Essential Functions:

• Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, per ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc. standards.
• Maintain detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results.
• Organizing lab data, processing, and report preparation.
• Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and workspaces.
• Manage lab personnel and maintain required certifications among the laboratory team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ Experience in a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory testing and sampling
• ACI Strength Testing and ACI Aggregate Testing Certifications are required
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong project management abilities, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
