Job description

Nova Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled CMT L Laboratory Manager to join our team in Greenville, SC. The Lab Manager will manage the lab's production and personnel and provide QA/QC lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low-to-high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects.

Essential Functions

• Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, per ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc. standards.
• Maintain detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results.
• Organize lab data, processing, and report preparation.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces.
• Manage lab personnel and maintain required certifications among the laboratory team.
• Maintain lab accreditation.

Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Strength, Aggregate Base, and ACI Aggregate Testing Certifications are required.
• 5+ years experience in a construction materials testing laboratory testing and sampling.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
• Strong project management abilities, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
